Naturopathy is an approach to health care which aims to promote, restore and maintain health.

As a Naturopath, I abide by the following underlying principles:

All systems of the body are interlinked – true health is a collaboration of mind, body and spirit. You are more than the sum of your parts. All systems are interlinked and are dependent on one another for total harmony. Therefore, dysfunction in one area invariably leads to disruption elsewhere.

You are unique – People are genetically, bio-chemically, structurally and emotionally different from one another. Each person has strengths and weaknesses that are either inherited or acquired. We each respond in a unique way to outside influences.

Prevention is preferable to cure – Seeing a Naturopath when healthy, can ensure that you stay that way.

A ‘vital force’ or ‘life force’ drives the self-healing mechanisms of the body – My goal is to support this via diet, supplements, lifestyle advice and further therapies I offer. Drugs may assist the process, although they often mask the problem, causing further stress and harm to the physical body.

What you can expect from me:

To provide you my full attention and to work with you and focus on your body’s self-correcting mechanisms or efforts to maintain homeostasis.

  • Regard education and co-operation as highly as the treatment of the patient
  • Address lifestyle factors which are contributing to the problem.
  • Aim to establish health on a cellular level by improving circulation, nutrition, detoxification and elimination.
  • To offer you a realistic service, by that I mean that is in my best interest to see that your health concerns are addressed as quickly as possible; your overall happiness with the treatment and outcome is paramount.

Please note that it is important that you do not stop taking any current orthodox prescribed medicines without consulting your GP.

I am happy to work with GP’s in order to assist with your health.
